Angus and Julia Stone ‘Big Jet Plane’ topped the Triple J Hottest 100 this year with more than 1.5 million votes.
The Stones were playing Big Day Out as the song was announced in top spot.
“It’s crazy, it seems so amazing” Julia said after they came off stage. She said she had also considered selling it to an airline for a commercial because “we always get charged so much excess baggage”.
Julia plans on a trek across Asia when the Big Day Out is over. Angus is heading to California for a roadtrip.
