When Painters & Dockers take to the stage at the Prince Bandroom on Friday night it will be their first performance in more than 20 years.
Painters & Dockers will reform for The EG Awards.They formed in 1982 and made the Australian Top 30 with their ‘Kiss My Art’ album in 1988. The album generated two cult classics ‘Nude School’ and ‘Die Yuppie Die’.
Friday’s reunion will place Paul Stewart, Chris O'Connor, Colin Buckler, Vladimir Juric, David Pace and Mick Morris on stage together one more time. It will be a 10-piece band on the night.
Paul, Chris and Vladamir were founding members of the band while David, Mick and Colin joined two later.
The Age EG Awards will also feature performances from Tex Perkins, Henry Wagons, Bertie Blackman, Dan Sultan, The Wolfgramm Sisters and The Dacios.
Proceeds from the evening will go to Support Act, providing assistance for suffering musicians.
