The EG Awards Are On

The fifth EG Awards, celebrating the best of Australian music, are open for voting.

The annual voting kicked off today, where Aussie music fans can weigh in on the greatest acts of the year.

Head over to the website here, to cast your vote for Best Album, Best Male Artist, Best Female Artist, Best Band, Best Song, Best Tour (including internationals) and Best New Band.

In addition to the voting, the public are welcome to buy tickets to the award ceremony on December 15 at the Prince Of Wales Bandroom.

The awarding of the prizes will be mercifully brief, to allow for some stellar musical performances from some of Australia’s finest, including Hall Of Fame-inductee Paul Kelly and his band, and the EG Allstars, Megan Washington, Gareth Liddiard, Adalita, Spencer P Jones, Dan Kelly and Eagle & the Worm.

Each of the other artists will play a song of theirs and a Paul Kelly cover, and Paul will play a full set.
