Dale Bozzio, singer for 80s band Missing Persons, has been jailed for animal cruelty.
Missing Persons fall into that “one-hit wonder” category after scoring a global hit in 192 with the song ‘Words’.The band featured Dale and her husband Terry Bozzio who met when they were both in Frank Zappa’s band. (They performed on Zappa’s Joe’s Garage album).
Bozzio turned herself into New Hampshire jail this week to serve time for the crime. She was charged with animal cruelty after sick and dead cats were found at her home. 12 cats had to be euthanized.
She was sentenced to 90-days in jail and given a $2700 fine. She is always obliged to complete 250 hours of community service.
