Booker T. Jones, who once fronted the legendary soul group Booker T and the MGs, will return to the stage next year, premiering at the mammoth South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, TX.
Jones is currently recording his first solo album since 1994.The 62 year old performer's biggest hit was the undeniably addictive 'Green Onions', with an infectious keyboard riff that became one of the most famous in history.
Jones has played with some of the biggest legends in music, including Otis Redding, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, George Harrison and a seemingly never ending list of artists from the world-famous Stax label.
As a producer he's produced Willie Nelson's 'Stardust' and Bill Withers' 'Just As I Am' amongst others.
According to the South by Southwest - Music site, fans can expect "tours to come" after his appearance in Austin.
