Don Lane Funeral Attended By Close Friends and Family

The funeral of entertainer Don Lane was a small, private affair and contrast to his larger than life television career.

Lane died on Thursday and buried yesterday in keeping with Jewish tradition.

Barry Crocker, Bert Newton and Rhonda Burchmore were the names who attended the ceremony at Camellia Chapel at Macquarie Park Cemetery yesterday along with the family.

There were no flowers or photos at the ceremony, a far cry from the regular celebrity funeral but a big memorial for the public and Don’s fans will be announced soon.

Don Lane was 75-year old. From 1975 - 1983, he hosted The Don Lane Show on Australian television and showcased stars like Abba, Sammy Davis Jr and Abba.
