Police have ruled that Stephen Gately`s death was not foul play, drugs nor suicide.
Instead, the family of the Boyzone star who died yesterday at the age of 33 was simply a tragedy.The Irish star was holidaying at his house in Port Andratx, Majorca with his partner Andrew Cowles. Stephen went to sleep and just did not wake up.
An official cause of death is yet to be determined but according to a family friend, the couple didn’t even have a fight.
Right now there is no explanation as to why the pop star died.
Gately’s Boyzone bandmates Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham and Stan Lynch are now in Majorca.
Today they released the following statement:
"We are completely devastated by the loss of our friend and brother, Stephen. We have shared such wonderful times together over the years and were all looking forward to sharing many more. Stephen was a beautiful person in both body and spirit. He lit up our lives and those of the many friends he had all over the world. Our love and sympathy go out to Andrew and Stephen's family. We love you and will miss you forever, 'Steo'".
