Melbourne band Electric Mary have returned to Australia after recording in the USA with Jason Corsaro of Soundgarden, Ramones and Iggy Pop fame.
“We recorded in New York with Grammy Award-winning engineer/producer Jason Corsaro who's credits include Soundgarden’s ‘Superunknown’, ‘Clutch’ and Cheap Trick,” Electric Mary’s Rusty Brown tells Undercover.com.au.So now Electric Mary and Madonna have something in common. Corsaro was the engineer on ‘Like A Virgin’. He also worked on Paul Simon’s ‘Hearts and Bones’, Debbie Harry’s ‘KooKoo’ and Motorhead’s ‘Orgasmatron’.
While in the USA, Electric Mary also played a show at Arlenes Grocery in New York, the last venue Jeff Buckley played before his death.
Electric Mary have a show coming up on October 24 at the Hi-Fi Bar in Melbourne.
