Triumphant Scottish indie pop rockers Snow Patrol announce their return to Australia.
After inspiring audiences at Byron Bay's Splendour In The Grass festival in July this year, as well as solo shows in Sydney and Melbourne, the much loved Scots cap off an amazing year by announcing three tour dates for Perth, Sydney and Melbourne in February 2007.Previously chart darlings in the UK, Snow Patrol have made serious inroads into the US this year on the back of their glorious 'Eyes Open' album. They've scored a Top Ten hit there with 'Chasing Cars', and since the song's appearance in the final episode of TV series 'Grey's Anatomy' that was recently aired in Australia, the album has shot up the ARIA Charts to number 6.
Supporting are London via Sydney band Howling Bells, who toned down the sunniness of their previous incarnation as Waikiki and became a UK sensation for their moody, indie blues. Also Sydney's Red Riders, who have been recently racking up touring experience with The Living End, The Grates, Little Birdy and Youth Group.
Dates:
Saturday 17 February, Belvoir Amphitheatre, Perth
Monday 19 February, Hordern Pavilion, Sydney
Tuesday 20 February, Festival Hall, Melbourne
