New York’s finest, LCD Soundsystem are returning to the scene with a 12” single version of Alan Vega (of Suicide)’s 1980 solo track ‘Bye Bye Bayou’.
The release is set to coincide with Record Store Day’s ‘Vinyl Saturday’, which was first launched in June this year in the USA which saw artists such as Pete Yorn, Green Day and Wilco releasing vinyl just for the occasion.This single will be LCD Soundsystem’s first release of new material since 2007’s ‘Sound of Silver’. The band are planning on releasing their next album in March, 2010.
While you won’t get to see them play live anytime soon, the band will be heading to Australia in December and January for some DJ gigs.
