LCD Soundsystem return home for one last hurrah with a three hour show promised at New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden.
The gig will take place on April 2 and throughout the show the band plan on revisiting album tracks that have long since dropped off their set lists, covering their three studio albums ‘LCD Soundsystem’, ‘Sound of Silver‘ and ‘This Is Happening’, as well as other bits and pieces from the past six years, including a few selections that have never been played before.
The band will be observing a black and white ONLY dress code for the evening and they “respectfully” ask the audience members to do the same in a move expected to anger hipsters donning fluorescent ironic glasses and faded hot pink singlets.
Tickets for The Long Goodbye will be on sale February 11th at bowerypresents.com and ticketmaster.com. I’d get on them quick. They won’t last.
R.I.P. LCD Soundsystem. You will be sorely missed.
