Sonic Youth front man Thurston Moore is many things, but now he’s heading up a book publishing company.
The company will be called Ecstatic Peace Library and will publish art related books beginning in 2010.The first books were distributed at the New York Art Book Fair over the past weekend, but if you missed that, the company’s website will launch on January 1 with all the books available for sale.
One of the first releases is expected to be by Moore’s band mate and wife Kim Gordon.
In the past, Moore has played various parts, including co-writing, editing and art-directing several books including “We’re Desperate: The Punk Rock Photography of Jim Jocoy,” and “No Wave: Post Punk. Underground. New York.”
Sonic Youth’s latest album ‘The Eternal’ is in stores now.
