Sonic Youth fan and singer/ guitarist for black metal group "Twilight", Blake Judd has expressed his joy in an interview with the1stfive.com at the idea of working with Thurston Moore on the new Twilight album.
This will be a change in tack for Thurston Moore in a time where Sonic Youth is taking a break post his marriage split with Kim Gordon (Sonic Youth Bass/ Singer) last year.
Blake Judd has told the1stfive.com that Thurston loves black metal and has plenty of time on his hands post marriage breakup stating, " The Sonic Youth folks, whenever they were in town, would always be over at the studio, so I met them on a number of occasions recording over there and Thurston really likes our music and, uh, loves Black Metal. And now that Sonic Youth's broken up, and he's essentially divorced, he's got plenty of time." Judd is a huge fan of Sonic Youth, "I had Sonic Youth records when I was twelve. And to now know that, not only am I having a dialogue with this person about anything, but dude's gonna join a band I started, and it's like...whoah. Fucking amazing, amazing feeling"
At this stage there are no plans to tour as Twilight is a recording band and are set to start working on the album featuring Moore in August.
