Paul McCartney To Release Live CD/DVD

The Paul McCartney concert from Citi Field, the venue formerly known as Shea Stadium, will be released on CD and DVD next month.

‘Good Evening New York City’ will feature McCartney’s 33 song set from the concerts as well as bonus footage filmed on the marquee of the Ed Sullivan Theatre where Paul was appearing on the David Letterman show.

Paul McCartney christened the new venue over three nights, 44 years on from when The Beatles played at the same site. The Beatles played a 34-minute show at Shea Stadium in 1965. McCartney returned to the venue for the final show as Shea Stadium hosted by Billy Joel.

At the Citi Field shows, McCartney performed George Harrison’s ‘Something’ and a medley of John Lennon’s ‘Give Peace A Chance’ with The Beatles ‘A Day In The Life’.

Other Beatles songs include "Drive My Car," "Got To Get You Into My Life," "The Long And Winding Road," "Blackbird," "Eleanor Rigby," "Back In The USSR," "Paperback Writer," "Let It Be," "Hey Jude" and "Helter Skelter".

The performance was shot using 15 cameras and 75 Flipcams handed out to fans.

The audio mix will be available in both stereo and 5.1

‘Good Evening New York City’ will be released on November 17 through Universal Music.
