`This Is It`, the Michael Jackson documentary about the rehearsals for the tour that never happened, will open in 25 countries in October 27, 15 of those will have coordinated simultaneous screenings.
The world gala premiere will take place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, in the same precinct as the Staples Center where the rehearsals, and later the memorial, took place.The launch will take place at 6pm on October 27.
The 15 cities taking part in the simultaneous premiere include New York, Rio De Janeiro, London, Berlin, Johannesburg, and Seoul.
Other cities hosting non-simultaneous activities include Moscow, Tokyo, Sydney and Paris.
‘This Is It’ will chronicle the life of Michael Jackson from March through to June this year and goes right up to the day before his death on June 25.
The movie will screen for two weeks only and then be released on DVD for Christmas.
