Portishead have returned to the studio to record their fourth album, just a year after the release of their third album ‘Third’ (which was eleven years after their second).
In an interview with the BBC, Geoff Barrows said "We're going to start writing and if all goes well it could be [out] in a year's time.""That would be the most perfect thing to do."
The article also mentions that the band are in discussions with various record labels to release the album, but have no intention of releasing it themselves.
Barrows also recently record an album with a side project called Beak>, who’s debut album "Recordings 05/01/09 > 17/01/09" will hit stores October 19.
