R.E.M. are heading to the Canadian city of Vancouver to begin work on their next album, which will be produced by Jackknife Lee.
The band begin working on the album there, before jetting across the Atlantic to finish working on the album in Dublin, Ireland.While in Ireland they'll perform five shows, which they'll consider a "working rehearsal", at the Olympia Theatre. I wouldn't be expecting to hear much old stuff at these gigs, however.
It will be R.E.M.'s first album since 2004's 'Around The Sun'.
