Augie March are finally ready to begin working on their fourth album, the tough follow up to their hugely successful 'Moo, You Bloody Choir'.
It will only be the band's fourth record in twelve years, proving that not everyone bows to pressure to follow up success quickly with sub-standard material.Despite the long gaps between albums, songwriter Glenn Richards is constantly writing songs and each album is a selection of his, and the band's, favourites.
Producer Joe Chiccarelli (Zappa, U2, Beck, The Shins, White Stripes) will join the band in Roundhead Studios in Auckland, New Zealand - the studio owned by Neil Finn.
In their native Australia, 'Moo, You Bloody Choir' managed to go platinum, won the AMP Award (making the band $25,000 richer) and the song 'One Crowded Hour' was voted #1 on Triple J's hottest 100 for 2007.
Their next album is currently without title, but it is expected out later this year.
