Matchbox Twenty guitarist Kyle Cook is now living in Nashville working on his side project The New Left.
The band has to date done a Canadian tour and also released an EP called 'Let Go' just over two years ago. 'Let Go' is available on iTunes."I'm currently living in Nashville, TN writing songs and looking for investors to complete my studio just outside of downtown" Kyle tells Undercover News. "I also co-produced a group called the Virgin Millionaires who just inked a deal with an Indie Label called Outlook Records. They will be making a record in January."
The New Left actually predates Matchbox Twenty. It features drummer Brett Borges and bass player John Kibler who both met Cook when they attended High School in Indiana. At school, the band were called Downpour and played mainly covers.
Just after graduating, Cook met producer Matt Serlectic, who thought he might fit with a new band he was producing called Tabitha's Secret. Kyle got the gig and the band changed its name to Matchbox Twenty.
