After a 5 year innings spruiking the releases of Aztec Music, Lou Ridsdale has left Aztec to start her own label Z-Man.
Z-Man will release Melbourne’s Witch Hats as well as Mother & Father.The label will also distribute Tex Napalm & Dimi Dero from Germany and France as well as Mark Steiner from Norway.
But wait, there’s more. Lou has also started Lance Rock Tours as an extension of her publicity company Lance Rock Publicity.
Lance Rock Tours currently has Pete Ross & Paesanos on the road. Pete is the former guitarist for Dan Brodie & The Broken Arrows.
The departure from Aztec is all on good terms and Aztec will distribute Z-Man releases.
"Lou has been with us from the beginning and she will certainly be missed" said label manager Ted Lethborg, "but Aztec Music and Lance Rock have both grown to the extent that we need to focus exclusively on our own companies. We have reached a joint decision to part, but will continue an association as distributor of Lou's new record label Z-Man Records".
