Perez Hilton is on the nose with advertisers following a week of bizarre antics that ended with a cruel comment about Michael Jackson after his cardiac arrest.
Express.com, one of the advertisers that had been seen at perezhilton.com has asked its agency to withdraw their brand from the Perez Hilton site. The advertising withdrawal follows a week that started with Perez Hilton whining about a bitch slap from the Black Eyed Peas tour manager followed by photo evidence to suggest that he exaggerated the entire incident and it ended yesterday with the infamous blogger writing that Jackson’s cardiac arrest was faked to get out of the upcoming UK tour.
Jackson died less than an hour after Perez Hilton published the cruel statement.
Hilton quickly withdrew the story upon news of Jackson’s death and replaced it with insincere tributes.
The blogger, who is used to being sued himself, is attempting with pocket $25,000 from the Black Eyed Peas tour manager for a clip over the ear after he called will.i.am “a faggot”.
The gay community was outraged by Hilton’s slur. He later issued an apology to those offended by the statement but not to GLAAD, the gay organisation that had been originally demanded the apology.
Photos released after the situation now pose the question “how did a punch that came from behind when Hilton claims it was to his face and how did he receive a black left eye when the photo clearly shows he was hit on the right side of the head?”
Hilton has now stated he will donate the $25,000 he is suing for to the Matthew Shepard Foundation. The Foundation has declined his offer.
