Perez Hilton has given his personal thumbs up to New Zealand’s Zowie.
Zowie was in Austin, Texas on Saturday night to perform at Perez’s party ‘One Night In Austin’ at SXSW.
Backstage before her performance, Perez told Undercover News that he discovered Zowie by scouring the internet. He said he spends a lot of his time on the net listening to new artists recommended to him.
In August, 2010, he posted her video ‘Broken Machine’ on his website.
Zowie performed for Perez at the brand, spanking new Austin venue the ACL Moody Theatre on a bill that also included another New Zealand act Kids of 88.
The Moody Theatre is also the new home for Austin City Limits.
