Perez Hilton used his ‘One Night In Austin’ to introduce New Zealand artist Zowie to the American market.
He says he is constantly listening to new music online and that is how he found Zowie. “Online. People email me a lot of great music and I listen to everything,” Perez tells Undercover News.
Zowie concurs. “Perez heard my first New Zealand single ‘Broken Machine’ and posted it up because he really liked it,” she says. “Then we applied for SXSW and we got in and I guess he heard about it and said “I’ll take them”.
The album will be out in the second half of 2011. “It looks mid-to-late year. I am finishing it off at the moment,” she says.
She recorded the album in Sweden and Atlanta.
