For a band with a killer live reputation, it certainly has taken them a while to capture that energy on a full length album, and well, since they're a little older and a little more mature, you might still have to wait a while - they're releasing an acoustic live album.
'Skin and Bones' was recorded on the band's recent tour and features an expanded eight piece lineup (What does the phrase "skin and bones" mean again?).There will be a DVD version released as well, which will feature five bonus tracks.
The album and DVD were recorded in August last year during a three night stint in Los Angeles. The album and DVD will include 'Marigold', originally recorded by Grohl's previous band, Nirvana. It was one of the only songs he wrote in the band.
The Foo Fighters are currently doing their acoustic tour across the USA with Bob Dylan.
