AC/DC may have to find an alternative venue for their sold-out shows at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne next February because the venue is double-booked.
The Australian Football League (AFL) has a contract with the venue for the pre-season NAB Cup matches and has matches planned on the three AC/DC dates of February 11, 13 and 15, 2010.The only options to move the 55,000 capacity gigs are the Melbourne Cricket Ground and Skilled Stadium in Geelong.
The Melbourne Cricket Ground is not available as it is still cricket season and Skilled Stadium is being redeveloped and will not be ready by February.
The first two AC/DC concerts have sold out and a third is nearing capacity. A forth concert is planned for Melbourne as well.
