The coroner who was left with the job of determining the cause of death for actor David Carradine says that it will take weeks before the findings are known.
Carradine was found dead in a luxury Bangkok hotel yesterday. A maid found him hanging in a wardrobe, with a rope around his neck and genitals.The death brings to mind the circumstances behind the death of INXS singer Michael Hutchence that was eventually determined to be suicide. However, the popular belief was that Hutchence died from autoerotic asphyxiation, a bizarre sexual act requiring the intentional cutting off of oxygen to build a stronger orgasm during masturbation.
Investigators looking at the cause of Carradine’s death have already ruled no foul play in the incident which rules out murder but a former lawyer for Carradine says she suspects fowl play.
Police are trying to investigate just who was the last person to see the Kung Fu and Kill Bill star alive.
Carridine’s ex-wife Marina Anderson described him as “a complicated guy” but says she does not believe he would commit suicide. “Something doesn’t seem right. I am still in shock,” she told Radaronline.com. “I don’t believe David would commit suicide.”
