David Carradine, star of the Kung-Fu TV show and the Kill Bill movies, was found dead in Bangkok today and Police describe the death as suspicious.
The 72-year old actor was found hanged with a rope around his neck and genitals in the closet of a luxury hotel in the Thailand capital. Because of the circumstances of the discovery, Police cannot rule it as suicide as at this stage, it could also have been an accident or murder.Carradine was in Thailand filming his next movie ‘Break’. The movie is about a terminally ill man who hires a hitman to carry out his own assassination.
Frank Krueger, the star of the movie, cannot believe what happened. "That was the biggest shock for me, actually, even more than that he had passed. It didn't make sense," he told the Associated Press.
David Carradine was a veteran of television and the movies having starred in more than 200 productions.
His first big role was in the starring role of Caine in the hit 70s TV series ‘Kung Fu’.
He developed a younger audience when director Quentin Tarantino cast him as Bill in the Kill Bill movies of 2003 and 2004.
The body of the actor has been sent to a local hospital for an autopsy. Police say they found no evidence of anyone else in the room.
