The most talked about thing in music yesterday was when Bruno aka Sasha Cohen, landed his naked butt and genitals in Eminem`s face at the MTV Movie Awards. It has now been revealed that the stunt was staged.
Scott Aukerman, one of the writers for the show has written in his blog, “Yes, the Bruno/Eminem incident was staged. That’s all anyone wants to talk about, so let’s get it out of the way. They rehearsed it at dress and yes, it went as far as it did on the live show then. Okay, you can stop reading this blog now!”The stunt itself made worldwide news. Cohen dressed (or undressed) as his new gay character Bruno, entered the venue flying through the air dressed as an angel, minus underwear.
It appeared that the contraption he was using to “fly” tangled and Bruno tumbles to the ground, in the crowd and on top of Eminem.
Eminem played along, acted disgusted and stormed out of the show.
Of course, Eminem has an album to sell and Cohen has a new movie to plug. It was a win/win for both considering the publicity it has generated in the last 24 hours.
