The latest project from the ever-evolving Guitar Hero brand is DJ Hero. Eminem and Jay-Z launched the new game in LA this week.
"I came up doing freestyle battles on local stages with other MCs and DJs," said Eminem in a statement. "DJ'ing is an essential part of hip-hop and DJ Hero will give people all over the chance to experience the music from the other side of the turntables.""A DJ has the ability to use music to control people's emotions and is responsible for the entire vibe of a room, a club or a party," said JAY-Z. "DJ Hero is the first video game that allows everyone to enjoy the unique experience of creating that environment."
Eminem and Jay-Z performed together at the Wiltern Theater in LA at a star-studded launch for the new title.
Leonardo DiCaprio, Pete Wentz, Mark Hoppus and Kim Kardashian were just some of the celebs who watched Eminem and Jay-Z rolls some beats across tracks like ‘Renegade’, complete with special guest Warren G.
Travis Barker and DJAM also performed.
DJ Hero features 100 songs by artists such as 50 Cent, Black Eyed Peas, Marvin Gaye, Beck and Beastie Boys.
