Australia`s Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard attended the The Bells, the Australian Jazz Awards last night in Melbourne.
The Deputy P.M. received a round of applause from the jazz community for her work in supporting the industry.She also demonstrated her great sense of humour when host Tracy Bartram pointed it that her outfit looked like some came dressed as a David Jones bag. “I have a range of outfits designed to make me look like a shopping bag,” Ms. Gillard said. “It is promotes our stimulus package”.
The Bells are named after 94-year Jazz legend Graeme Bell who attended the event and later dined with Ms. Gillard.
