David Byrne is going to curate a stage at this year’s Bonnaroo Festival in Manchester, TN.
On Friday, June 12 the former Talking Heads front man who has more diverse taste than even the biggest music nerd will present Dirty Projectors, Ani DiFranco, St. Vincent, Katzenjammer, and Santigold as well as playing a show of his own.It is the first time an artist has ever curated a stage at the festival.
Also at the festival will be a long list of great artists (and Phish) including Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Beastie Boys, Nine Inch Nails, Wilco, Al Green, Snoop Dogg, Elvis Costello, Paul Oakenfold, Ben Harper, Jimmy Fallon, The Mars Volta, TV On The Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Public Enemy, Andrew Bird, Band of Horses, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog Presents Bonnapoo 2009 (ha!), The Decemberists, Ani DiFranco, Girl Talk and plenty more.
Tickets are on sale now. The festival will take place in Manchester, TN. June 11 - 14.
