Following months of speculation, there is finally some official confirmation up on Tony Iommi's official website regarding the reunion of Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward and Ronnie James Dio.
The band will reform under the name 'Heaven and Hell', a name taken from the one and only album this line up recorded in 1980.There is no word of an album as of yet, but a message on Iommi's official site says if it goes ahead, the band will be on the road throughout 2007.
In other Dio/Sabbath news, fans can expect a Black Sabbath : The Dio Years box set, which is set to feature two new songs, one is reportedly already written. It will be the sequel to the three disc box set Black Sabbath : The Ozzy Osbourne Years, released in 1991.
Dio stuck with Sabbath for two more albums, 1981's 'Mob Rules' and a 1983 live album (released after Dio and Appice had left the band), 'Live Evil'. He was replaced by former Deep Purple front man Ian Gillian.
