The Mornington Peninsula was the home of Australian Crawl. It is also base camp for indie-pop act Red Ink.
Red Ink is after your vote for at theJDSet.com.au to support You Am I when Round One of The JD Set 2009 hits the road.Red Ink is John Jakubenko on vocals and synth, Brendan Jones on vocals and guitar, James Munns on bass and vocals and Aaron Sim on drums.
The band formed in high school where Jakubenko and Jones took music lessons together. Munns and Sim came next and Red Ink was formed.
Currently unsigned, Red Ink has released three tracks so far, which have grabbed the ears of Triple J.
They’ve also scored a few supports along the way, helping out Hoodoo Gurus, Dukes of Windsor, Children Collide and Little Birdy fill a hall or two.
