Rod Stewart has had enough of the Hollywood lifestyle and is heading home to live in UK.
The 64-year-old Scottish rocker and his wife Penny Lancaster are returning to the UK from Los Angeles to enrol their three-year-old son Alastair at a top private school.The couple - currently trying for their second child together - are believed to be moving to prevent any chance of Alastair "going off the rails" in the US.
A source told Britain's Mail on Sunday newspaper: "Rod wants to move back to the UK so Alastair can get the best education. He and Penny both think it's a safer place to bring up kids and don't want Alastair going off the rails, which can happen in Los Angeles.
"The city is a party town and Rod has seen the effects it can have on children first-hand. He and Penny are really keen for Alastair to be educated and brought up in Britain."
Rod's six other children from previous relationships: Kimberly, 29, Sean, 28, Ruby, 21, Renee, 16 and Liam, 14, have all lived in his California mansion and some have got into trouble.
Sean has a long-running battle with drug addiction and has entered rehab several times.
He has also had run-ins with police and is currently involved in a court case over an alleged attack in a Los Angeles nightclub.
Sean previously said: "Being Rod Stewart's son is a curse and a hindrance.
"I love my dad, but a lot of celebrity children grow up f***ed up because our parents are out of town a lot and it makes us feel unwanted."
Penny, 38, is also said to be keen to move back to the couple's house in Epping Forest, near to London, as she will be closer to her family.
Another source said: "Penny is very much a home girl and wants to be in England more."
