Las Vegas, the home of Elton John, Cher, Bette Midler and, now, Rod Stewart.
Stewart signed a two-year contract that will see him performing at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace beginning on August 24. The show, Rod Stewart: The Hits, will feature a set list made up of many of the singer's more than sixty hits such as Maggie Mae, You Wear It Well, You're In My Heart and Hot Legs along with a few rarities and a couple of covers.
Stewart told Billboard.biz "It's a rock'n'roll show. We'll try to give the people what they want, which are the songs that made me famous, plus a few surprises. There won't be any magicians or midgets, just a good rock show."
Tickets go on for the first 18 performances (August 24 - September 11 and November 3 - 20) this Sunday at 10 AM.
Rod just finished the Heart & Soul Tour with Stevie Nicks which currently ranks as the second biggest tour so far in 2011.
