Heaven and Hell, the Black Sabbath you have when you are not having Black Sabbath, has signed with Roadrunner.
Heaven and Hell is the Ronnie James Dio version of Black Sabbath with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice.Sharon Osbourne, who owns everything, won’t let them use the Sabbath name so they tour as Heaven and Hell, a reference to an album they recorded with this line-up.
After the world tour, Heaven and Hell decided they got to good to not record another album. “The band had gotten too good to just walk away,” Dio says. “We wanted to show people that we were still capable of giving them new music that measured up to what we’d done in the past.”
The new album is called The Devil You Know.
It will be released on May 7th.
