Kram released his first solo album today.
The Spiderbait singer and drummer finally has ‘Mix Tape’ out for all to hear. After 20 years in Spiderbait, Kram has taken leave from “the day job” for his first solo album.Kram really treats the solo album thing very serious. He plays ever instrument with the exception of a small bit from Jet’s Nic Cester and Tumbleweed’s Richie Lewis.
‘Mix Tape’ is going to rejuvenate some old feelings as Kram has deliberately set out to make an album that sounds like a compilation album.
It works.
The video for the first single humorous ‘Silk Suit’ featuring a tennis match with world champ Alicia Molik and a cameo from Cester.
Spiderbait fans should not fret. There will be another album ... one day.
Meantime, you will find Kram’s ‘Mix Tape’ in stores this weekend.
