Stylish Outkast star Andre 3000 causes a ruckus by saying he wants his son to carry a gun in the future.
Internet reports have surfaced that the 'Idlewild' hip hop artisan endorses the right to bear arms and says that rather than be flanked by security guards around the clock, he carries a firearm with him at all times.He was quoted as saying, "Of course I carry a gun. I need to have a gun with me at all times. I don't see what's wrong with that. I don't like to have bodyguards with me so I've got to have something to protect myself with."
Andre Benjamin also says he would want his nine-year-old son, named Seven (Is this a Seinfeld in-joke?), to pack heat as soon as he was legally able to. He is quoted as saying, "I would want my son to get a gun when he gets older. It's just something you've got to have if you want to live and be safe."
A spokesperson for Mothers Against Guns said, "He is glorifying gun culture which has taken over the world and taken our children away from us. To say he is going to encourage his son to carry one around when he is older is despicable."
