The line-up for the Aussie BBQ at SXSW in Austin has been finalised with Gabriella Cilmi, Josh Pyke and The Drones heading a list of Australia’s finest.
The Aussie BBQ, one of SXSW’s must-see parties, will feature a line-up worthy of touring anywhere.The full artist list is The Drones, Youth Group, Gabriella Cilmi, The Grates, Birds of Tokyo, Josh Pyke, Temper Trap, My Disco, Infusion, The Fumes, The Boat People, and The Red Riders.
The Drones are one of this year’s SXSW buzz bands. There is a lot of talk about getting to one of their shows. Gabriella Cilmi is launching in the US at SXSW and the interest level will be high from Europe where she has already had success. Josh Pyke returns for his second time to SXSW but first time on the Aussie BBQ. A few years back, he had the interesting position of having to follow Amy Winehouse’s performance at the Island Records showcase.
The Aussie BBQ, with thanks to Elwood Jeans and Victoria Rocks, is an invite only showcase for delegates of SXSW.
