Revered Melbourne-via-Perth rockers The Drones announce a new live DVD featuring an acoustic set of rarely-played songs.
The DVD, dubbed A Thousand Mistakes, is actually a special one-off acoustic set recorded in a disused factory space in Fairfield in Melbourne.
They played rarely performed tracks from their thirteen year career, including ‘Stop Dreaming’, ‘The Best You Can Believe In’, ‘Work For Me’, ‘Cold And Sober’, and eight more.
Hammond organ and keyboard player Steve Hesketh, who played on The Miller’s Daughter and Wait Long By The River…, joined them for the intimate warehouse set.
The DVD also includes a full eleven-song live set from the East Brunswick Club in 2010, and a 16-song bonus disc of rare footage from the last five years shot in Germany, France, Sydney and Melbourne.
The warehouse set was recorded in 5.1 surround sound and will also be released on limited edition vinyl.
The whole package will be available in stores on September 16 and the band will be touring again in October.
