Sir Paul McCartney has reportedly begun the process to trademark his name, for use on products ranging from pantihose to vegetarian food products.
If successful, McCartney™ - through his company MPL Communications - will be granted the exclusive right to put his name to any consumer product he so desires. At this stage, it is reported that McCartney™ will lend his name to lines of clothing, headwear and footgear. The famed vegetarian would also have the right to use his name on meat products, but a spokesman explained it would simply "give him protection against his name being used on products he does not approve of."
