It must have been 5 years ago when I went to the launch of Daniel Merriweather`s first single in Melbourne. During his interview with Undercover, he told us that he was working on the album and it was coming soon.
Guess what folks? 2009 may just be the year the debut album from Daniel Merriweather will be released.The album will be called ‘Love and War’.
Daniel is from the Dandenong’s in Melbourne’s outer region.
He grabbed a bit of Aussie airplay with his first two singles ‘City Rules’ and ‘She Got Me’, then nicked off to live in OS when he teamed up with uber-producer Mark Ronson.
Daniel sang lead vocals on the cover of The Smiths` ‘Stop Me If You Think You’ve Heard This One Before’ from the Ronson album ‘Version’.
Ronson has been working with Merriweather on the ‘Love and War’ album. Aussie rapper Phrase will also contribute to the album.
Expect the album to surface around April.
