The long-awaited new Beastie Boys album leads a low-key week of releases.
Barring Jennifer Lopez’s new effort Love?, it’s a pretty indie line-up of new releases this week.
Of course, there’s the always long-awaited Beastie Boys album Hot Sauce Committee Part Two and another much-anticipated album from Fleet Foxes called Helplessness Blues.
In addition, there’s a second album from acclaimed Brisbane indie duo An Horse called Walls and Illinois singer-songwriter William Fitzsimmons fifth album Gold In The Shadows.
There are new albums from veterans Christopher Cross with Doctor Faith, Emmylou Harris with Hard Bargain, Steve Earle with I’ll Never Get Out Of This World Alive and Mick Harvey with Sketches From The Book Of The Dead.
Electro experimentation comes from New York duo Designer Drugs with Hardcore/Softcore and Prefuse 73 with The Only She Chapters or dubstepper Skrillex’s Scary Monsters Nice Sprites.
Ex-Idol star and Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson has her second album I Remember Me and Sara Barielles new album Kaleidoscope Heart.
For something completely different, Norwegian folk/black metal crew offer Wars Of The Roses or Darkthrone’s Total Death.
