Some of the details surrounding Kylie Minogue's homecoming tour have been revealed.
The Showgirl tour has been re-titled Showgirl Homecoming, with new rehearsals having begun in London in August. Whilst the musical content will retain the Greatest Hits theme, Kylie has revealed that the show will be completely revamped, with new lighting, new costumes and new choreography.Kylie said, "Every tour has its own feeling and its own atmosphere. Each tour is a moment in time. Showgirl Homecoming will be about the people and the emotions on the night - it's that element which will be the most unpredictable and the most beautiful."
The $2.5 million stage is being rebuilt to accommodate the new show, which will be choreographed by the internationally renowned Michael Rooney (who worked on the video for Kylie's 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head'), Rafael Bonachela (Kylie's long-time collaborator) and British-Bangladeshi Akram Khan (renowned for his fusion of traditional Indian and modern dancing styles).
As previously reported by Undercover, Dolce & Gabbana will be contributing to the costuming, along with Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel Couture, John Galliano, Gareth Pugh, Richard Niccoll, and Matthew Williamson for Emilio Pucci. Dancers' attire will come courtesy of Lido of Paris.
