The Rolling Stones had been planning on hitting the road in 2011, according to revealed details in a lawsuit’s paperwork.
According to HollywoodReporter.com, Cohl is being sued by Live Nation for $5.35 million for allegedly breaking an agreement made at the time of his departure, but Cohl struck back with a countersuit saying Live Nation attempted to “interfere” with and “destroy” Cohl’s attempt to obtain promotional rights to a Rolling Stones tour later this year.
While Keith Richards had mentioned before that The Stones were planning on touring again this year, this is the first time anything concrete has appeared. No other promoters have come forward about potentially touring the band, so whether or not the tour will happen remains in doubt.
Next year marks the 50th anniversary of the band’s formation.
