Andre Rieu Second Only To Madonna For Ticket Sales

Andre Rieu was the second biggest ticket seller in the world last month. His shows out of Australia in November grossed more money than anyone except for Madonna.

The shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane made a nice little income of around $US24 million ($AUD34m).

Consider Adelaide to be additional pocket-money and Andre added a further $US4,205,878 ($AUD5,911,547) to his bank account.

Madonna made $US40,088,534 ($AUD56m) from her shows in South America and Mexico.

Andre Rieu sold 484,096 tickets for the Australian tour. Andre Rieu ‘Live In Australia’ is now available on DVD.
