Australian rock's poet laureate Paul Kelly announces that he'll play four shows, and 100 songs, alphabetically.
Kelly, who has long been regarded as one of this nation's finest songwriting talents, will play four amazing shows in Brisbane, from November 28 to December the 1. The gimmick is for him to play, armed only with a guitar and piano, 100 songs from his back catalogue, plus re-interpretations of some of his iconic suburban ballads as well as lost classics form other stars.He'll play them alphabetically, with no repeats, meaning fans are recommended to buy tickets to all shows for this once in a lifetime event. The shows follow his recent Athenaeum benefit in Melbourne, where he teamed up with backing band The Boon Companions and cult Oz rockers Hoodoo Gurus to collect funds for the people of Timor-Leste.
Kelly will showcase his alphabetised song list at The Powerhouse in Brisbane on Tuesday November 28, Wednesday November 29, Thursday November 30, and Friday December 1.
