Paul Kelly To Perform A To Z Shows Nationally

Paul Kelly is heading out around Australia to perform his A to Z shows for the nation.

Kelly has selected 100 songs from his massive catalogue and will perform the songs alphabetically over four nights at each stop.

The original A to Z shows were performed in 2004 in a series of concerts at Melbourne’s Spiegeltent. An 8CD box set of ‘The A To Z Recordings’ will be released later this month. The collection will include a 64 page hardback book of photographs.

Prior to that, Kelly’s book ‘How To Make Gravy’, featuring the stories Paul told about the songs on the original A To Z shows. “Most songs were recorded live between 2004 and 2010 at various places during the A To Z shows. The idea was to present the songs undressed, in many cases close to how they sounded when they were first written, before being arranged with a band,” Kelly said in a statement.
