Andre Rieu has announced another Australian tour in 2009, this time down-sizing to the more `intimate` arena shows.
Rieu’s concert last week at Melbourne’s Telstra Dome was the biggest concert he had ever played. On Saturday, November 15, 38,605 fans watched as the Maestro fiddled.“It was an overwhelming experience. The warmth of the audience was overpowering,” he said in a statement. “My energy comes from the audience. I am only returning to them that which they give me.”
The Melbourne shows were also filmed and will be Andre Rieu’s next DVD. This week, he has the Top 5 titles in the Aussie DVD chart.
