Andre Rieu Wins Album Of The Year Award

Andre Rieu has won the Album of the Year award at the Classic BRITS 2011 for ‘Moonlight Serenade’.

The album features the track ‘Andre (All The Star Came Out)’ written and sung by Judith Durham from The Seekers. Andre is currently on tour with The Seekers in Australia. The other Aussie connection with Andre is his singer Mirusia.

In hearing about the award Andre said, “It has been a truly wonderful night, keep waltzing. I’ll be back in the UK very soon.”

Andre Rieu sold over 1,000,000 CDs and DVDs in the UK during 2010. In April, he performed to more than 16,000 fans at London’s O2 stadium.

He will return to the USA in September for his ‘An Unforgettable Evening with Andre Rieu’ tour.
